Yes, New Orleans is celebrating Mardi Gras this year. Most of the parades started last week, but will be finishing up on Tuesday, February 28, "Fat Tuesday". This day is also celebrated as Shrove Tuesday. Olney, England, has a famous Pancake Race on this day.
