EARTH HOUR 2010

Earth Hour 2010 will be from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. (local time) on Saturday, March 27. To participate, just turn off your lights for that one hour. Several Illinois communities are participating. Many Chicago landmarks will extinguish their outside lights for that time as well. This worldwide event is sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund as a way to focus attention on the effects of climate change as caused by pollution.
